New to Just Trio!

Its about time I updated you all on what's NEW at Just...Trio!

The New Barnstaple shop (108-109 High Street) has been a huge hit and we are all so pleased. Already we have lots of new regular customers who cant wait to see what we get in next.

We have some new and exciting brands in store including St.Kitts Herbery who produce modern yet classic herbal toiletries. The Cornish scenery that surrounds them inspires their business and allows them to cultivate their own herbs that go into the fantastic products We stock a range of 5 fragrances including Rosemary and Bergamot whit is a real favourite, we spray the room fragrance around the shop which really does give a burst of freshness as you walk in.

Another fabulous addition to our Barnstaple store is our jewellery cabinet that houses Ti Sento. 

A fantastic award winning Jewellery brand Ti Sento features stunning sterling silver pieces that incorporate 18k gold and cubic's creating pieces that are luxurious and fashionable.

If you love all that sparkles come in and take a look and try something on. The Just Trio girls are more than happy to talk you through the designs and show you the exquisite detail that goes into each piece.

I must mention our Bideford store......The girls in the Bideford Trio(3 Mill Street) have been very busy rearranging their shop and it looks fab so in you are in Bideford be sure to pop in and see what they have been up to!

Shop launch success!

Our new Barnstaple store has been open for over a week now and its is a hit!

We did it, the new store opened on the 15th August with a huge effort from the Just Trio team. As soon as we took down the paper from the windows people were swarming outside trying to get a look at what Just Trio was all about.

The shop looks great and has kept the look of our Bideford store but with a lot more room to show off the beautiful items. The owners and myself had a vision of how we wanted the shop to look and we are all really thrilled with it. 

We have had nothing but positive feedback about the new shop and we are thrilled to be open in Barnstaple. The local traders and shoppers are all saying they are pleased to have such a shop in the town. The shop has been featured in the local Gazette with a picture of some of our Barnstaple staff.

There are some exciting new brands in store like Rosie Fox jewellery, which I love, and St Kitts Herbery body products.

St.Kitts Herbery as based in Cornwall, they grow the ingredients and hand make all the products.

We have brought brands across from our Bideford Contemporary store 21a Mill Street, which has now closed. 

So if you loved Joseph Joseph don't worry as promised we have a big display of their clever and funky kitchen accessories, with more on order. 

There are plenty of mirrors and home accessories for slick contemporary home interiors as well as more traditional chic items. We also stock Sophie Allport, Culinary Concepts and Disaster Designs as well as some stunning India Jane products.

The new shop is full of indulgent textures, sights and smells with our popular reed diffusers and st Kitts Herbery creating a gorgeous aroma in the shop.

Our Moore & Moore faux fur throws make for a wonderfully sumptuous window display, already we have had to reorder they have been so popular. 

 Customers are thinking of Christmas gifts already and we have lots to choose from with more on the way.

Just Trio Update

Our new Barnstaple store is taking shape, all the paint work is done inside and soon we will be starting on the outside. We came across this old image of the shop when it was Briggs shoe shop, we have managed to uncover the original granite underneath the windows and the original led windows are still intact. 

 

The shop is 2,000 sq.ft and is going to be a fabulous addition to Barnstaple High Street for hopefully years to come. We are all itching to get in and dress the shop and have already had lots of deliveries. We have some new companies in the pipe line including some stunning accessories and jewellery, lots more quilts and soft furnishings. Joseph Joseph formally in our contemporary Just Trio is coming with us, along with the major brands from our main Bideford store. Don't worry though our Bideford store (3 Mill Street) is here to stay, all our customers who travel from Barnstaple kept pleading with us to open a shop on their door step so how could we refuse.

Spring is here!

Spring is here!

We have had a lovely couple of days here in Bideford and the shop is full of beautiful spring colours in the form of new artificial flowers, candles, summer scarfs and bags.

artificial flowers have had a bad rep in the past but modern examples are often hard to distinguish from the real thing.

The shop is so much brighter and  alive with colour since the flowers arrived, we couldn't wait to unpack them and get them into some of our big glass vases. 

Our Artificial flowers are made from recycled materials where possible making them very green indeed.

As more and more flowers were unpacked it was hard to pick our favourites but we just had to buy some to take home ourselves.

Since Mary Portas highlighted the plight of the British high street in her channel 4 TV program many shoppers are trying to seek out and support local business whether it be for fruit and veg or hand crafted items. As a small independent retailer we know we need to stand out from the crowd and offer something different from the larger high street chain stores, we know that a personal touch means a lot to our customers. 

There are now more independent shops in Bideford the North Devon town we are situated in which gives shoppers a great shopping experience and makes our little town stand out from other chain dominated locations. Some of the large chain stores have pulled out of the town leaving larger units empty however, local people are now creating new independent businesses in those spaces which are giving the town a new lease of life and encouraging more people to keep it local!

Ahoy Sailor! Nautical insperation

Just Trio is located on the beautiful North Devon coast line so its hard not to be influenced by all things nautical. This blog showcases some great design ideas that we have come across and some of the seaside inspired items in our Bideford shop, enjoy!

    Red White and Blue Accent

There is always something to be said for keeping it simple, a white minimal backdrop for these bold cushions really shows them off. The quirky feature rope light would be lost in a busier more cluttered room design. The scheme is softened with the addition of a natural fibre rug and wooden coffee table. We have some great quilts and cushions in our Bideford store and online that would be perfect if you are inspired by this look.

Check out this creative use for old ores! If you think outside the box lots of every day objects can make a stunning feature when grouped together.

Why not get creative, here are some affordable ways to inject the seaside into any room. 

This is a quick and easy idea and one the little ones can help with too!
Cover glass wine bottles with rope/string to create simple but effective decorative objects for your room. They can even be used as candle holders on a dinner table. If you want to add some colour dip the string in paint and let it dry before sticking it around the bottle. This will give it a stripy light house look.










Another idea that can keep big and little hands entertained is this gorgeous shell mirror. You can buy jars of more exotic shells from a lot of high street shops now or why not take the dog for a walk on the beach and collect your own. Just stick the shells on to a cheep frame or one you want to jazz up.
